Brand manager

The majority of large companies would be delighted to have you as their ambassador. If you are an active social media user and can’t imagine your life without Facebook, you can equally become a promising brand manager. This is a job in public relations, so you have to be chatty and outgoing. Besides, they will most probably have their nights out after lectures, so you have to think about college interference as well. What does a company representative do anyway? First of all, you will be giving away flyers and brochures and inviting people to attend events. Secondly, you might also be involved in promotional strategies like bringing your friends to a themed party so that they can test the said product. Do not forget it is not an easy job, though, as you often have to stay up late and socialize with a lot of people. For all extroverts, on the other hand, it is a decent opportunity to become a better public speaker and presenter.

Teacher

You'll need a lot of patience and zeal for knowledge, but this part-time job is perhaps the most rewarding of all. The feeling when you help someone achieve their heights is unforgettable, and the more you practice, the better you become. Parents say they want someone who doesn’t only take pride in a student’s accomplishments, but cares about something other than raking in cash. It is an important aspect considering there are many tutors who would love to have the job. Apart from that, you get to improve the quality of teaching and boost confidence working with people of the same age, or younger. This kind of experience is certainly going to look good on your CV, not speaking of the career opportunities once you graduate. You can also travel the world by taking part in exchange programs, and see what the teachers are like in other countries.

manager3

Resident supervisor

If the thought of leaving the campus for good makes you sick, this job is just what you need. A campus supervisor is the person students are flocking to when they don’t have hot water, or they’ve run out of soap or they need a DJ for an upcoming night. Yes, it is hard to stay in control all the time, especially if you’ve got more than one problem to handle, but they let you live on-campus and basically don’t pay the rent. Besides, you are not going to fix the tap yourself – the assistance resident is a negotiator between the student and the required service. You may also be asked to join the local resident community and organize a coaching event, like a training or a seminar, but that’s no big deal compared to the privilege of being a live-in student assistant! You will take part in all the late night strolls and the pub crawls and will definitely know what’s going around.

University ambassador

This is an opportunity for those who won’t be upset if they will miss the party one time or another. You are supposed to take part in extracurricular activities and launch university campaigns for students, that is, be an active social part of your hall. Yes, it can be a tough nut to crack, and you’ll probably find it hard to work around your schedule, but they usually pay well for this kind of job. You get to know people and meet the university government as a bonus (think of the possibilities). Most colleges love to hire locals for charity projects and promotional auctions, meaning you’ll have to attend high schools. They will ask you to describe personal experience at the university and why you think it’s cool. Not a bad pastime for an employee to be!
