2. Ignoring lectures

Although attending lectures is essential, a lot of undergraduates nowadays go on skipping them in order to conduct their own businesses or simply to sleep more. Naturally, waking up early can be stressful or some lectures may be boring, but you should not ignore classes for your own benefit. Think about the exams at the end of the year, and try to motivate yourself for attending at least a half of lectures, to obtain useful knowledge as well as high grades.

3. Being a recluse

Freshers are likely to stay lonely because they may hesitate to make new friends and socialize with others. But it’s definitely wrong: a university is considered to be a good place for meeting new people and conducting relationships. If you are sick and tired of sitting alone in your room, then come out and find a group of your adherents with whom you would spend free time gladly.

4. Buying only brand new books

Sometimes happens such a thing that when a fresher receives a reading list, he/she thinks of buying every single book in shops. 5. Forgetting to back up work

Have you ever dealt with the computer crashing and as a result lost your data? Many students complain about such situations since they forgot to back up their work. As a computer crash is a random phenomenon, we can only advise you to upload work or any other important information to the university’s cloud to keep it safe. This will prevent you from hours of recovering data or do work all over again.

6. Missing home and suffering

Most freshers must leave their homes to study in another city or even country. While at first, they consider separating from parents a nice opportunity to become serious and independent adults, later they may cope with sudden loneliness and sadness. It is normal to miss your relatives or friends, so write them whenever you can or call, they would be happy to talk with you and support as much as you need.
