University of Bologna

The history of this university dates back to 1088, and it still functioning. Bologna University is considered to be the oldest in the world. Till recently only doctorate students had a chance to be enrolled in this fascinating place, located in Italy. Currently, the university offers a number of different programs of various levels.

Oxford University

This university, established in 1096, is famous throughout the world, as one of the most prestigious universities. It is proved by the fact that many famous people in the field of science and politics have studied here. It is situated in the UK, caters to more than 20,000 students and has the largest press operation in the world.

University of Salamanca

This uni is located in sunny Spain and it starts its history in 1134. It is the oldest university in Span, and one can find it in western Madrid. This place is perfect if you want to join the community of 30,000 students and feel the historic spirit inside the educational institution.

La Sorbonne

This is French university, located in the capital. The date of its establishment is not exact, and it it somewhere between 1160 and 1250. Nowadays, this place exists in 13 autonomic parts, and each of them is popular among students from all continents.

This institution was established in 1209 by those who have separated from Oxford University. Nowadays, there is constant competition between these two place, and the younger one outnumber the older one. Cambridge is opened to foreign students, and there are more than 4,000 people from outside the EU.

It is an Italian university, created in 1222, and it still enrolls students, this place is famous for its early discoveries in different scientific fields, and it attracts more than 60,000 students, who are interested in scientific research.

University of Naples Federico II

This place was created by one of Roman Emperors in 1224 and it is situated in Naples – one of the largest and oldest cites in Italy. It caters to more than 100,000 students in various educational programs.

Siena University

This university, located in a small city, was established in 1240. It enrolls more than 20,000 students annually, while the whole campus comprises more than half of entire population of Siena. It is extremely beautiful, and its campus is considered to be UNESCO World Heritage.

University of Coimbra

This university was originally located in Lisbon, but kings relocated it several times, and its final location is Coimbra. This educational institution was established in 1290, it continues to except students. It cates to more than 25,000 people, who want to study at such magnificent place with long history.

Al-Azhar University

This educational institution was established in Egypt in far 970 AD. However, it gained the status of the university only in 1961. It underwent some periods of political instability and completely changed its program from Islamic studies only to a wide range of traditional disciplines. Nowadays it is ranked as 701st popular university in the world.
